Days after filmmaker Sanoj Mishra was arrested on rape charges, the woman who accused him has now claimed that she was manipulated into filing the complaint. In a video shared on Sanoj Mishra’s official Instagram account, the woman said she had withdrawn the case, calling it a “conspiracy” against the director.
She further said that when she attempted to withdraw the complaint, she was threatened and harassed. The woman has accused film producer Wasim Rizvi and four others of putting her life and reputation at risk.
In the video, the woman explained her association with Sanoj Mishra, saying,
“I was working with Sanoj Mishra on ‘The Diary of West Bengal’. After the movie was shot, people started provoking me. Around the same time, Monalisa(of Mahakumbh fame) came into the picture and went viral with Sanoj Mishra. During that period, people sent me fake photos and instigated me a lot. They created such a situation and mentally harassed me to the point that, in anger, I filed a case against Sanoj Mishra.”
She added that after realizing the truth, she regretted her decision and tried to withdraw the case. However, she faced pressure and threats when she went to court to submit an affidavit for withdrawal.

“They said, ‘I will get you jailed,'” she said in the video.
The woman stated in the video that if anything were to happen to her, Wasim Rizvi and four others should be held accountable.
“If anything happens to me or if I die by suicide, Wasim Rizvi and four others will be responsible. These people are playing with a girl’s dignity. Despite my refusal, they leaked my FIR on social media and are falsely framing someone. I realized the mistake I made in anger and withdrew the case, but these people don’t want that,” she stated.
The video surfaced shortly after Delhi Police arrested Sanoj Mishra on March 30 following a complaint by the 28-year-old woman.
In her initial complaint, the woman claimed that Sanoj Mishra had sexually assaulted her multiple times over four years and had coerced her into undergoing abortions three times.
FIR filed under charges
Delhi Police stated that a First Information Report (FIR) was filed on March 6, 2024, under sections concerning rape, physical assault, forced miscarriage, and criminal intimidation.
The case is currently under investigation.
